We are relocating to Eastern Washington. When? I have no idea. Brandon will commute for as long as we can stand it. It's going to be struggle for awhile.
It may not seem like a big deal to some, but to us this is HUGE. As a kid I moved a several times, but I also didn't live in an orphanage, or have serious grieving issues leaving my foster parents.
I just worry about the girls and their adjustment to all of this. They both have had so many changes in their little lives, I feel bad.
Braydon says he is excited. He puts on that brave face, but I think once we are packed up and leaving he will change his story.
Me on the other hand. I'm that giant bird with my head in the sand. Pretending nothing is happening.
I'm sad to leave my friends, family, community, my pretty house, Nordstrom, and all the green lush trees.
I will keep everyone posted on where, when and how it is going. Oh, yeah something to blog about now. West moves to East....Eh.

I hope the move is a positive one for you guys, but moving away from Nordies would be hard! I remember when I moved from L.A. to where I am now...we only have a Se@rs and a M@cy's in town. Hang in there!
By the way...I awarded you a little something, stop by if you get a chance.
Wow... moving to the other side of the mountains! I hope the move goes well for you... Keep us posted!
wow what a big move, Can i ask why you are moving?
Good luck Hope Brandon isent got too bad of a commute in the coming months, also we will be thinking of Lila on this new adventure.
Aw, I'm so sorry. I have been in your shoes. It did, however, end up being a good move in our case. I hope the same is true for your family.
Are you going to try to finish out the school year and then move?
Sherri
Good luck on your move.
I have so been there--many times. It is hard to move away from the stores you love, people you love, and a life you have adjusted too. I hope this is something you want to do instead of have to do, it makes it a lot easier. Okay, I am sounding like a downer, but I think you know my experience moving where I am now. That being said, you do make a life in that new place and the kids will help you make it there--their involvement opens up doors.
I understand about the girls, it is something we are always wondering about with M--when is the right time to move. I would just keep focusing on that you are ALL moving and that ALL of your things are going too--even if they don't bring it up. Letting them know that family makes the home, not the location should add to their sense of security.
Best wishes on your move and the commute!
Moving is hard on everyone. The best part is that your kids are young enough that making friends will be easy. With Braydon, is this a natural transition time (elem to middle school)?
As a teacher I can share some really fun activities to help get them prepared for the move and generate some excitement. Let me know if you'd like for me to share them with you!
I know how hard it can be to move. Having been married to the "military" for 13 years I move quite often (PA, MI, Ohio, Nevada, Arizona, California, Europe and eventually GA). I'll tell you the worst part for me...finding someone new to cut my hair!
Good luck and let me now if I can help!
Hope all goes well with move... think of it as a new adventure...
you can always come on down to Florida!!!!
You can find great trees east of the Cascades if you know where to look. I promise. And seeing the sun ROCKS!
I am thinking of you - hope things go smooth ~
But Why????
I know a blogger in Colville if that is anywhere near where you're going. Her boys are 13, 10 and 7 or there abouts.
Linda, I hear ya! This is tough but (as you know) change opens a whole bunch of new doors. Even so, it's hard to leave good stuff behind.
Selfishly, I couldn't help but realize that Eastern Washington is very close to Western Idaho (where my brother lives) so when we visit him, we might be able to pop in and say hi to you too. Seriously, he grocery shops in Washington State -- that's how close he is to the border. Let me know if you're that far east.

REALLY? wow. That will be an adjustment, but I'm sure everyone will do beautifully when it's all said and done!!! When you're back to visit Miss Carrie we all must grab that bevvy!! AND they do have more sun there. :) That's a HUGE perk!
You will be just fine!!! Girl embrace it! I might even want to rename your blog West moves to East!
