Piles

This one word (PLIES) seems to sum up my days here. I have plies of  clean laundry, piles of dirty laundry,  piles of school papers the kids bring home, piles of mail, piles of dog hair and piles the puppy leaves behind.

I know I sound like every mom around the world, but I have never been one to let things pile up like this. Well, not the puppy and dog hair ones.

I get the kids off to school, hit the gym, come home clean the morning dishes, take the dogs out for a walk, clean up puppy messes, make beds, take a shower, throw a load of laundry in, run a couple of errands and it's time to get the kids. Where did the time go.

I admit I do look at Facebook, Prez Hilton ( gotta get the latest celeb gossip), and MSN news in the morning while the kids eat breakfast and I do check my email during the day. I don't watch daytime TV or afternoon TV for that matter. Food network is on in the background, hopefully to inspire me too cook a gourmet meal for my family.

As Brandon kisses me goodbye in the morning I hear, "Hey Honey, I need work socks."
Crap, That means laundry again, didn't I just do that?

When the kids get home we are having snack, homework, taking the dogs out for a walk again, and getting dinner started. Then it is showers and time for bed.

I cannot seem to catch up on all of the things in between.

I was worried about moving to a small town that I would be bored and not have anything to do. I don't think I have to worry about that too much right now. My to do list is still a mile long.

I still haven't begun to do all the scapbooking I wanted to do. I still haven't organized the file cabinet. I still haven't made it over to the west side to visit my BFF's, Where do my days go?

The puppy isn't that much work. The kids are not that much work. Do I have a time management issue?

I thought I was more together then that. Maybe I should get off of the blog and Facebook? NAH!

Today I really should have been doing some yard work... nah... being wifey and cooking... nah... eat toast Mike... I have been SO bone tired the last few days... I sat my lazy butt on the computer... or went down to the babies room and pottered around... moved boxes from here to there... fixed the sheets on the crib... put a gate up at her door... opened and shut the blinds (don't ask me why I am doing this)... but who wants to do the important stuff... hahaha

Oh geesh... when I saw the title of this post, I thought you were having, um.... some condition that required Preparation H. Glad is other problems and not that particular one! Phew!

I hear you on the laundry. I'm so sick of it and really wish I had six machines in my house so I could just get it all done at once and didn't always have a load going!

I understand Facebook and MSN news but Prez Hilton? I never heard about him until this week. It's wasn't a very flattering first imression either!

Anyway, glad you're staying busy! I'm always happiest when I'm busy so I hope it's having that effect on you too!

I think the small town makes it worse! I tend to get M in more activities because I feel isolated--now we run around constantly!

I know, I know, I know! I've been trying to stay off FB & my computer, but that hasn't seemed to make any of my piles smaller???

Let me know when you solve this dilemma! :) I just try to keep the piles around here at bay....

I hear ya, sister! It never seems to get done...EVER! I've decided to just do a little a day and what gets done, gets done. I admit, however, I am a FB addict. I stay on that thing too much, but it is sooo addictive :) Here's to another week of craziness!

We have the same problem - piles everywhere too! It seems nothing gets done, never to catch up again!
I think I need professional organizer and de-clutter help!!

I also have piles in my house. With four kids at the same school I get four copies of everything! Who needs 4 lunch menus, 4 newsletters and 4 notices asking me to go eat at some pizza place so the school can make money????? As for the laundry situation, geez, I am NEVER, EVER caught up! But you know what? My kids are happy and yours look great! Isn't that what it's all about???

Funny you should post this, as I have been contemplating a similar one! I have recently come to the REAL conclusion that there are just some things that will never get done... my list is long...

I know! I know!

'I cannot seem to catch up on all of the things in between'....that said it so well. You hit the nail on the head. After the whole day goes by in parenting two kids and just keeping the house oiled and running, its very disarming to see that I am where I am. Nothing has got done. The to-do lists are staring at me. Where the heck does the time go?
