He was given 2-4 weeks to live 5 weeks ago. He is getting weaker, but not to the point where I need to take him in. It will be one of the hardest days in my life. I've had him for 17 years. <br /><br />Mav posted a poem in his honor on my blog in my "Eulegy to Charlie" post. I don't know who the author is, but you are welcome to use it for Vinnie, too. <br /><br />As for TWO new dogs, one a puppy no less, I'm not sure Sucker is the right word.
